Yet Again The LG G-Series…

I've been a happy owner of several earlier LG OLEDs going back to the 48C1. When I had the chance to purchase the 65G4, I jumped at the chance. This TV has become the centerpiece of our family room. It sits atop a stand that is directly across from a full wall of windows. The 65G4 has been able to produce an incredibly bright picture, easily overcoming the ambient light from the windows. We almost never see any reflections whatsoever! It truly seems to be the brightest OLED on the planet! Infinite contrast means the absolute finest details are picked up with ease, whether watching a movie at night with the lights turned off, or an afternoon baseball game in your sun-drenched family room like us. Both the Magic Remote and the ThinQ app on your phone make setup so very simple. . All of our favorite streaming services were waiting for us via the 65G4's built-in app collection. There's no need to connect an external streaming device any longer! The wifi bandwidth is exceptional. We are easily able to stream 4K HDR 60FPS videos at over 200MBits/second. There is never any buffering, nor dropped frames. It's a truly seamless viewing experience. Picture quality is absolutely mind-blowing in every mode we've used. Our favorite right now is the Filmmaker mode since it allows for the most faithful reproduction of the source material as close to what the director/color-graders intended as humanly possible. The built-in speakers are just incredible. That the tv can measure the acoustics of your room, and decide how to optimize the sound for your exact environment is truly magical. Crisp and clear dialogue, wonderful mids, and even a little bass from time to time makes the shows and movies just pop! We have been casting videos to the G4 from our phones and tablets, and the wireless streams work beautifully. The ease and speed of switching between devices means our whole family can share videos to the big screen one after the other without the party stopping. Last but not least, we have our current-generation gaming console hooked up to one of the *four* 4k120 HDMI ports. The TV automatically switches to the right input and even sets game mode when it senses the console has been turned on. This means more time for gaming, and less time fiddling with settings! We could not be more thrilled with the 2024 LG 65G4 OLED. We can't wait to see how they continue to push the envelope in the years to come.
